Biography

Aaron Ford has served as the Attorney General of Nevada since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he succeeded Republican Adam Laxalt in the statewide constitutional office.

Prior to his election as Attorney General, Ford represented District 11 in the Nevada State Senate from 2013 to 2019. He holds a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University (1994), a Ph.D. and a law degree from The Ohio State University, and has completed graduate coursework at George Washington University and The Ohio State University. He has no recorded military service.
