Biography
StevenHorsford has served as the U.S. Representative for Nevada's 4th congressional district since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he succeeded Ruben Kihuen, who declined to seek re-election following an ethics investigation. Horsford's return to the House marked a non-consecutive second tenure, having previously represented the district from 2013 to 2015.
Prior to his federal service, Horsford served in the Nevada State Senate from 2004 to 2013, representing Clark County's 4th district and rising to the position of Majority Leader. He worked as a business executive in the private sector before entering politics. A native of Las Vegas, he graduated from Clark High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. He has no record of military service.
